Barrister's Ball 2007

It's that time again!!! BARRISTER'S BALL 2007 IS HERE!!!

The SBA Board of Governors is accepting applications from interested students to join the 2007 Barrister's Ball Planning Committee.

For those new to FPLC, Barrister's Ball is the annual "Law School Prom" held each Spring to celebrate the end of the school term (and for some, the end of law school). This is the time for everyone to get dressed up, enjoy great food, each other's company, and have a fantastic time!

This year, Barrister's Ball will be held at the Capital Arts Center on Friday, April 13th, 2007.
The planning committee will be responsible for organizing all aspects of the event including catering (hiring a caterer, not actually making the food), theme/decorations, music, entertainment, tickets, etc.

The event can only be as good as the people planning it, so we are looking for organized, motivated, creative go-getters who can have fun while planning a large party!

Anyone interested in being a part of the planning committee for Barrister's Ball, please email the SBA Treasurer, Adam Muller, at sba-treasurer@piercelaw.edu no later than 5pm on Friday, February 2nd.

WNEC 32nd Annual B-Ball Tournament

Franklin Pierce's varsity basketball team went down to Springfield, Massachusetts on Feb 16-17 and played in the Western New England College (WNEC) School of Law 32nd Annual Basketball tournament. The tournament was open to male and female players. The team fought valiantly and finished with an impressive 2-2 record in the highly competitive tournament.

Not bad considering there were only seven members on the team.

Participating law schools were: Albany, Franklin Pierce, Harvard, Touro, UCONN, Vermont, and WNEC.

The team consisted of:

Ryan "Hollywood" O'Connor

Jeremiah "White Chocolate" Haylett

Dave "Air Asia" Loo

Joe "Baby Shaq" Mattson

Kevin "Big Daddy" McIntyre

Michael "El Nino" Trevino

Raj "Big S" Siripurapu

Congratulate them all on a job well done!!!
