The USA PATRIOT Act, commonly known as the Patriot Act, a controversial Act of Congress was signed by U.S. president George W. Bush on this day in 2001. The act expands the authority of U.S. law enforcement agencies for the stated purpose of fighting terrorism in the United States and abroad.

Tuesday, October 28

J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the Black Law Student Association Pancake Breakfast are hosting a breakfast at the school in the morning starting at 8 a.m. This would be a great opportunity to take the family out and let our students brag about their families!

Korean and Japanese Yummies!! Korean Student Association (KSA) will be introducing various Korean and Japanese Food to satiate your hunger around lunchtime at Lower Rotunda near the Jury Boxfrom 11:30am to 1:30pm on Tuesday, October 28.

Come learn how to dress professionally on a budget from two recent Pierce Law Alums Leslie Leonard and Josh Wyatt at Rm 205 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Pierce Law Admissions will be at Miami University Law Fair, Oxford, Ohio, Texas A&M University, College Station and also at University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.


Wednesday, October 29

Pierce Law Admissions will be at University of Texas, Austin from 11a.m - 3 p.m.

 

Thursday, October 30

Pierce Law Admissions will be at University of Texas, San Antonio from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

 

Friday, October 31

Pierce Law Admissions will be at The College of Wooster in Ohio from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and at University of Houston, Texas from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Boo! It's Halloween. meaning it's All Hallows' Eve!!

 

Saturday, November 1

Professor Mary Wong will be representing Pierce Law at the upcoming Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) meeting in Cairo, Egypt, starting from November 1 through 6. ICANN is the international entity charged with domain name governance, and Pierce Law is a member of the Noncommercial User Constituency (NCUC), one of ICANN's six Constituencies that provide feedback to the ICANN Board on Internet policy issues.
