One of the longest running Pierce Law traditions will continue this Saturday at the 24th Annual Buck Bowl. The Buck Bowl is all about bragging rights with 3 intense flag football matchups to establish class dominance. First, the 3Ls will take on the mega-powers of LLM/MIP students, faculty, and staff. Then, the 1Ls will battle the 2Ls. Finally, the winner of these games will play for the 2008 Buck Bowl Championship. In accordance with tradition, the winning team will have their moment of glory Saturday night at JIVE as they drink out of the fabeled trophy.
All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to play or cheer on your classmates. The games will begin Saturday at noon at Russell Martin Park. The park is about a mile from Pierce Law on Iron Works Road.
The Buck Bowl is organized by the Pierce Law Sports Club. The Sports Club is dedicated to providing opportunities for students of all abilities to have fun and compete. In the fall, they run soccer, football, and ultimate frisbee. During winter, they rent out a gym for students to paly basketball. In the spring, soccer and frisbee returns as well as softball.
