Fall Semester Winds Down

As Pierce Law students depart for a short Thanksgiving break before diving into final exams, the Pierce Law Reporter would like to provide students with a few study tips.

1. Make a study schedule that prioritizes studying according to your exam schedule. Be sure to take 5 - 10 minute breaks every so often to clear your head and refocus.

2. It is often helpful to use a professor's past exams to get a feel for what the final will be like. You can find many old exams on the Pierce Law Library's website.

3. Organize your class notes and outlines into a system that allows you to easily locate information. You don't want to waste time shuffling papers!

4. Use study aids to review material you don't feel confident about. Many professors include recommended aids in their syllabus. It may also be helpful to prepare a list of specific questions and make an appointment to speak with a TA or your professor prior to the exam.

5. Finally, try and have a stress free Thanksgiving break. Eat lots of delicious food, spend time with friends and family, and most importantly...HAVE FUN! The goal is to come back for the home stretch feeling refreshed and ready to go.
