Looking for a good place to study for the upcoming final exams? Too distracted by all the good options on TV (such as Dancing with the Dogs on Animal Planet premiering this Saturday)? Here are a few ideas---
- Phi Alpha Delta will be hosting a Quiet Study Session on Sunday December 7 from 12pm to 6pm in the Rich Room. In addition to a nice quiet atmosphere, PAD will offer snacks and beverages to get you through the finals blues.
- Study rooms and classrooms will be available for groups and individuals. For more information, ask you friendly library front desk attendant.
- Also at the library, Kathy Fletcher will again be providing enough chocolate and other sugary snacks to keep you motivated throughout finals season.
- If you are looking to get out of the friendly confines of 2 White Street, there are several good coffee shops and bookstores, which offer a pleasant study environments. Check out Borders and Panera (free WiFi!) on Ft Eddy Plaza, Bagel Works on Main Street, or even Washington Street Cafe right next door.
- If you need to read, you might as well get some exercising in. Riding a stationary bike is a great way to reread Erie v. Tompkins or Fundamentals of IP by Prof. Tom Field. Go visit Planet Fitness by Ft Eddy Plaza or the YMCA on Warren Street. Daily passes and student specials are available.
- Finally, Pierce Law's favorite watering hole, Penuche's, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. Throughout December, pints of your favorite lager, ales, and stouts are $1 from 5-6 and 9-10. You probably won't get a lot of studying done, but you may feel better.
From everyone at Pierce Law reporter, good luck with your finals!!!!!
