The Women's Law Student Association will be hosting a dinner and a discussion with a panel of women attorneys. The event will start at 6pm in the Board Room. WLSA Co-President Heather A. Flanner said the panel will focus specifically on "work/life balance, career expectations, and demands" that women face both in law school and the legal profession.
Flanner also stressed the importance of both men and women participating in the panel. "Everyone brings a unique background and perspective; so everyone, regardless of gender, can contribute in discussing these important issues. We encourage all students to attend!"
WLSA is an active organization at Pierce Law. With the strong support of both students and faculty, the group seeks to bring awareness of the issues women face as law student and in their career. Activities include panel discussions, informal gatherings and dinner meetings to learn about current projects and pending state/national legislation addressing fundamental issues regarding employment and legal issues concerning women.
