No events are scheduled in this week as yet!...other than the mid-terms coming up starting this Tuesday. The events will be updated on Pierce Law calender as and when we get to know so check on the weeks schedule in school on the school calender!

Monday, February 9

In 1942 Daylight-saving "war time" went into effect in the United States, with clocks turned one hour forward.

Tuesday, February 10

In 1967 The 25th Amendment to the Constitution, dealing with presidential disability and succession, went into effect.

Wednesday, February 11

In 1990 Nelson Mandel, a political prisoner for 27 years, is freed from Victor Verster Prison outside cape Town, South Africa.

Thursday, February 12

In 2006 a powerful winter storm blankets the Northeastern United States dumping 1 to 2 feet of snow from Washington DC up to Boston, Massachusetts. The storm dumped a record 26.9 inches of snow in New York City.

 

Friday, February 13

 In 1914 the ASCAP (for American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) in New York City is established to protect the copyrighted musical compositions of its members.
