On this date in 1972, Congress sent the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the states for ratification. It fell short of the required three-fourths approval.

Snacks Provided.  This is a workshop for 3L's to learn tips for how to find a job in a tough economy, hear about alternative career options, and talk about creative ways to network.

 "Career Chat" with Sujati Chaudhri 12:00-1:00 PM, Conference Room at 10 White Street, Limited to 10 students, Sign up on Pierce law Jobs. Bring your own lunch.  This is telephone conference for international graduate students to speak with Attorney Chaudhri and learn about her experience practicing domestic and international intellectual property law in the US.   

Thursday, March 26th

Prof. Bill Murphy will be in Washington, D.C. meeting with Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Judd Gregg regarding the next phase of the Portal for Intellectual Property Rights (PIPR) project.  He will then be meeting with the Registrar of Copyrights, Marybeth Peters, to bring her up to date on the project.

Resume, Cover Letter and Summer Job Search Drop-in Table on Thursday, March 26th,  2:30-3:30 in the Upper Rotunda.  No appointment necessary.

Friday, March 27th

Prof. John Garvey will be presenting "Tips for Successful Mediation" at the 2009 Medical Malpractice Screening Panels CLE at CR Sparks, in Bedford, NH.

Saturday, March 28th

On this date in 2000 the Supreme Court unanimously ruled to sharply curtail police power to rely on tips to stop and search people.
