The American Federalist Society will host a catered luncheon on Thursday March 5. Manuel Miranda, who served as Counsel for former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, will be the guest speaker. Mr. Miranda was personally involved in over fifty judicial nominations before the Senate. He was also the Senior Nominations Counsel to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary and received the 2006 Ronald Reagan Award for his leadership on judicial nominations, especially his opposition to the Harriet Miers nomination. Through these experiences, Mr. Miranda will discuss the future of the Supreme Court under the Obama administration. Don't miss this great opportunity to hear from an expert on this important topic! For more information, visit Mr. Miranda's website www.mirandafund.com.
The luncheon will take place at Room 205 at 12:15, THIS Thursday!
The Pierce Law Chapter of the American Federalist Society is a non-profit student organization dedicated to promoting the preservation of freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.
